Sparring helps when you prefer input and opinion from someone else in order to approach your topic.

A sparring partner can help you develop new ideas/concepts/thoughts, he or she can challenge your ideas, think with you,... Someone who understands what you are doing and has valuable input. But sometimes we are in situations where we do not have that someone.
